Christmas Dinner and Annual Awards

The club held its annual Christmas dinner and awards ceremony on Friday December 14th at the Brockton Oval Clubhouse. In addition to an excellent buffet meal, a number of club members were recognized for their outstanding athletic achievements and contributions to the club. This year was the first occasion on which we awarded the Andrew Kamara Award, presented to an athlete who has achieved exceptional age-graded performances over a variety of distances in the past year. Club members also raised $250 through a 50:50 draw, which will be put into a fund supporting children’s education in Sierra Leone, a cause very dear to Andrew. The award winners were:
