The Vancouver Falcons Athletics Club formed in 1987 to offer members weekly coaching and a supportive environment in which to train. The club continues to offer challenging goals, in a rewarding and fun atmosphere.
All members are encouraged to attend the twice weekly training interval sessions with well-known running coach John Hill. Each member is given individual workout schedules and target times, developed around their ability and goals. In addition to these scheduled sessions, members often meet up informally to run on other days, particularly for Sunday long runs.
It’s not all work though! The club members often gather after workouts at various coffee and eating establishments to socialize. Club meetings are held approximately every three months to discuss club news, issues and coming events. Afterwards food, beverages and lots of laughter finish up the meeting. There are numerous other social activities including the annual Christmas dinner. Generally, there is at least one scheduled social event per month.
