400m, 800m, Mile, 3000m, 100m Kids’ Race

VFAC Track Series Vision

Provide distance track races for runners to compete and participate within the City of Vancouver. Track running is not easily accessible to those outside of school, university, or club systems. The addition of this series facilitates an introduction to a new discipline in a supportive and fun racing environment.
Strengthen Vancouver’s running community from both social and racing perspectives with the opportunity to improve personal performance.
Encourage community and personal wellbeing through physical and emotional development in a low stress and social racing setting.

2025 Event Info

Date:	Friday, August 8th, 6:00pm-8:30pm
Location:	Rashpal Dhillon Track & Field Oval 2329 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z3 Map here
Facility Description:	8 lane, 400m synthetic polyurethane running track. Washroom facilities available. Parking along Wesbrook Mall and East Mall. Thunderbird parkade is the closest parkade.

2025 Registration

Entries will be received through Trackie. No race-day registration will be available.

Entry fee:
- $25 early-bird registration fee – deadline: Friday July 18th, 2025
- $30 registration fee after early-bird deadline
- Register for one event and get any additional entries free!

Participants will be able to register at the VFAC tent and receive their race bib. Please show up at least 45 minutes before your race. Entries into the 400m and 800m will be seeded with no finals. The schedule may be adjusted depending on numbers.

Racing Shoes

The VFAC Open Track meet is not a World Athletics sanctioned event. As such you are permitted to race in any shoes you choose. However, please note that as of November 1st, 2024, World Athletics has updated its regulations regarding footwear eligible in competition:

Maximum shoe stack height: 20mm
Maximum track spike length: 7mm
