Sun Run 10k – 27 April 2014

Today was another great event for the VFAC women who took out 4 of the top 20 positions in a women’s field of over 20,000.

Leading the charge was the Kimberley Doerksen who continues to have the season of her life recording a 1:26 PB. She was in an exciting race against Lindsay Carson who managed to pull away from Kim in the end for second place by 6 seconds. The race was won by Rachel Cliff in 33:14.
Also running exceptionally well was Anne-Marie Madden who finished in a new 8 second PB of 35:03 in 8th place. Other top 20 finishers were Katherine Moore and Lissa Zimmer
On the Men’s side Kevin O’Connor lead the way with a 32:18 run for 22nd place overall (1st M45 and 4th MM).
Next up were Bryan Andrews in 33:34 for a 51 seconds PB (38th) and Aaron Weidman in 33:39 (39th).
