2009 Club 8K Handicap Race

The annual Club Handicap Race took place in sunny, but very cool (0 degrees) conditions on Saturday, Jan 24. This year the race was finally brought into the modern era as an 8K, rather than a 5 mile, as we did an out and back on the Seawall from km 0. Some very impressive early season performances were racked up, including several PB’s. Mike Wood won the Handicap race, and Kevin O’Connor and Rita Ivanauskas broke their own VFAC Master’s 8K records. Congrats all- one gold star each! In order of fastest times: 1.
