In a perfectly timed run, Ellie Greenwood worked her way through the field for a win in her first trail race of the year. She had started the season with a very promising personal best in the First 1/2 Half Marathon in Vancouver but was a little uncertain as to how she would perform over the longer distance. That uncertainty was laid to rest as the day went on and she just got faster and faster working her way into the lead in the final miles of the race.
